Caroline Cruiser News-August 2021
Summer Adventures with The Cruiser
#OneCaroline
The Caroline Cruiser has been busy traveling through the community this summer bringing books, schoolsupplies and other helpful resources to families.
We started the summer with Banker’s Insurance and the Bowling Green Farmers Market along with VA Cooperative Extension to help families start a garden with plants, soil and pots.
Juneteenth at the County Park was packed with fun, prizes and book donations.
Next stop was the Caroline Agricultural Fair and then to Historic Port Royal with Mrs. Carolyn Davis and Mrs.Cleo Coleman. The Cruiser supported Caroline’s Promise with Community of Promise Day and handed out over 800 school supplies.
August was a busy month as we cruised into ‘National Night Out’ at County Line Baptist Church in the Western District. Other community events include Milford Presbyterian Church, Oxford Mt. Zion and Praise Temple.
Finally, it was Back to School with Caroline High School Block Party and Madison Elementary Schools Open House to welcome students and families to the new
school year!
