National School Breakfast Week

Celebrate National School Breakfast Week: March 3–7

Join us in celebrating National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) from March 3–7, a nationwide event highlighting the importance of the School Breakfast Program. This federal initiative provides students with a nutritious and balanced meal to fuel their day and set them up for success in and outside the classroom.

Why is School Breakfast Important?

  • Promotes Student Health and Well-Being: A healthy breakfast supports the physical and mental development of students, giving them the energy they need to stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.
  • Supports Academic Success: Research shows that students who participate in school breakfast programs experience improved attendance, behavior, academic performance, and academic achievement, as well as decreased tardiness.
  • Reduces Food Insecurity: School breakfast helps combat food insecurity and insufficiency, ensuring all students have access to a nutritious start to their day.

Take part in this weeklong celebration and raise awareness about the vital role school breakfast plays in student healthwell-being, and academic success. We encourage all students to enjoy a healthy breakfast as we continue to support their growth and learning!
