Congratulations to the October “CAV of the Month” winners for grades 9–11: Kayla Wright (9th), LeBron Walker (10th), and Mairead (Maggie) MacCurtin (11th). The students were selected by CHS staff for being accountable for their learning and success and demonstrating respect, responsibility, and honesty in their actions. Kayla is enjoying her freshman year, especially her Freshman Seminar class and English. She volunteers with the Beta club and SEA. LeBron is active in JROTC as an assistant staff member, is on the varsity football team, and participates in wrestling. His favorite classes are History and Carpentry. Maggie is currently part of a group who is painting a mural in the CHS hallway. She is involved in theater and the art club and really likes her Teachers for Tomorrow class (she wants to become an elementary art teacher when she graduates). Congratulations to these students for their well-deserved honor.
