Local author, Shania Lewis, recently shared her literary journey with CHS students. Her book, Dear Little Black Girl, was published in June of 2023. According to one review, it “provides a powerful message to little black girls everywhere as it not only inspires but also uplifts” and encourages them to follow their dreams.
The students in attendance, all budding writers and illustrators, listened closely as she gave them all wonderful suggestions and advice.
