CHS Track Shines at Regional Competition

In the 4 B regional Indoor Track competition, The boy’s and girl’s team both placed sixth in the competition. The boy’s team scored 30 points while the girl’s scored 27 points Makia Herndon, is the only team member who placed 1st. She placed first in the high jump. Vladimir Joacin in the shot, Leland Harley and Makia Herndon in the high jump were notice in the in the milestat elite performance list.

Here are the top 8th places for both boy’s and girl’s.

The results of the boy’s team;

  • Vladimir Joacin 2nd in the shot
  • Charles Lumpkins 3rd in the shot
  • Leland Hartley 3rd in the high jump, and 4th in the 300 meter dash
  • Matthew Dudenhefer 5th in the 1600 meter run
  • Arthur Duke 8th in the 500 meter dash

The results for the girl’s team

  • Makia Herndon 1st in the high jump, 3rd in the triple jump, and 7th in the long jump
  • Marley Medina 3rd in the pole vault
  • Nevaeh Jeter 6th in the 300 meter dash

The following student/athletes are headed to the state competition which will be held at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA on March 3rd and 4th.
