CCPS Teacher of The Year- Kendall Rogers

Caroline County Public Schools is proud to announce Mrs. Kendall Rogers as the 2024-2025 Division Teacher of the Year.  Mrs. Rogers serves Caroline Middle School as the agricultural teacher and Future Farmers of America sponsor. Kendall earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State University and her Masters in Administration and Supervision from Averett University. She has been teaching for nine years with the past four as a proud CMS Eagle.

Mrs. Rogers is a member of the Virginia Association of Agricultural Educators, serving as Vice President for the Central Area from 2017-2018.  She is a member of the National Associations of Agricultural Educators, Caroline County Ruritan Club, CCPS Achieve 2027 Steering Committee, and a Board Representative with the Fredericksburg Area Livestock Show and Sale Committee. Also noteworthy, Mrs. Rogers was named the 2023 Conservation Educator of the Year and the 2018 Virginia Association of Agricultural Educators’ Ideas Unlimited Award recipient.

An impactful educator, Mrs. Rogers has both enhanced and expanded the agricultural program at Caroline Middle School. Her energetic and engaging personality paired with newly added curriculum units like livestock, small engines, and welding have resulted in a full program with a long waitlist. CMS Principal Corinne Griggs shared, “Mrs. Rogers recognizes that authentic relationships and experiences help strengthen morale, motivation, and connections among students, staff, and families.” Modeling this philosophy, Mrs. Rogers spends countless hours planning diverse hands-on classroom lessons, engaging service learning opportunities, and relevant extracurricular experiences throughout the community, region, and Commonwealth. Through livestock competitions, booths at community festivals/events, and legislative advocacy at the General Assembly, CMS students are gaining meaningful real-world exposure to the importance of leadership and civic engagement. Additionally, Mrs. Rogers’ ongoing collaboration with other schools, divisions, businesses and civic organizations has ensured that CMS Eagles are fully exposed to the numerous employment, enlistment, and enrollment opportunities within the agricultural career pathway.

Mrs. Rogers will go on to compete at the Region III level as part of the 2025 Mary V. Bicouvaris Virginia Teacher of the Year Program.  Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Rogers as the CCPS 2024-2025 Division Teacher of the Year!
